Whatever Sheila did, no matter what it was, her cooking, her knitting, whatever, it always instinctively turned out right. You always knew she had the right answer because the goodness shone through her and about her. Sheila was the true light of my life and my world is a darker place without her. When I first met her I asked her what her name was. She replied "Sheila, but my friends call me Shush". I said "How do I become a friend?" She said "You just have to like me,that's all" Her directness, her simplistic approach won me over and my life became easier from that day forward. One day, in a crowded room,someone called her name "Shush." Sheila didn't hear at first so the voice called "Shush" a bit louder.All the room fell silent. Sheila's face lit up on hearing her name and she said "Yes." The people in the room fell apart laughing. That was the kind of effect she had on people. Simple, direct and great fun. Sheila somehow knew how to reduce tension and increase smiles and laughter. The most wonderful person I ever met. Sheila filled my life with care and tenderness. She was amazing.
